HIIT 9: Map Your Value Proposition
Your value proposition is the ultimate statement that captures why customers will believe your claims about what you’re offering them, whether it’s a product, service or even a social media post.
It’s focused on the end results and outcome for the customer/client - because at the end of the day, that’s all they’re interested in.
Your product is an avenue for them to realise their desires and goals. If you’re a fast food chain, your VP could be to "satisfy your customers’ hunger quickly and deliciously" (simply put, of course).
If you’re a luxury travel brand, your VP could be to offer “bespoke experiences for the discerning traveller”.
For the Ambsdr app, our customer value proposition (which is very close to our mission) is ‘to provide brand intelligence for legacy weavers and dream makers’.
To craft your value proposition think through the following:
What does your brand offering entail?
What do you say about your business at every step in the sales and marketing process?
Who are your customers and what do they want?
What is the most important and unique value you deliver to your customers?
How will you communicate your value proposition?
If you believe in and get excited in your own value proposition, then you’re on your way to crafting a great brand.
