Decanting the pleasure of winetasting with WineSpencer
Born from a deep passion and curious affinity for wine early on, sisters Shaunna Cooper and Shayla Smith started Wine Spencer in honor of their father, grandfather, and great grandfather, all named Spencer.
Shauna and Shayla approached The Artful Brand in 2019 to help create their business name, brand design, brand development and marketing strategy - an end to end identity and business commercialisation strategy.
Working closely with both sisters we developed their core brand value proposition and business tagline, as well as the critical messaging that would position them for success.
The core messaging focused on “redefining what wine means and giving it a contemporary significance, especially among minority communities, diverse ethnicities, and cultures that have not traditionally been catered to within the wine industry.”
Today, the business operates in Arizona and New York and has recently expanded its educational wine offerings to include vibrant and informative virtual wine tastings over Zoom. Taking into account the current COVID-19 climate and the fight for racial injustice while still wanting to share their knowledge and passion for wine, Wine Spencer has created an exclusive virtual format of offerings on their website to inspire wine lovers and wine novices to join the tasting experience from the comfort of their home.
It’s clear, from all the media interest and news coverage in key wine blogs and magazines such as Wine Industry Advisor as well as customer awareness as a result of putting all strategies into effect, that the two sisters have put a lot of thought into how to best serve their clientele - offering something new while staying relevant and addressing what is happening in our society right now.
